This process is easier and quicker than relying on a dental lab to produce restorations from traditional impressions. With a CEREC machine, only a single dental visit is required, because we value your time as much as you do.

What should I expect during my appointment?
When you arrive for an appointment, your dentist will examine your teeth and gums and use x-rays to determine the severity your dental problem. If you require a dental restoration, they digitally scan your teeth using our state of the art CEREC technology. The process is fast and painless.
Your dentist uses a CEREC machine to produce crowns, inlays, or onlays that match the color and shape of your surrounding natural teeth. They clean the treatment area, prepare the tooth, and place a long-lasting dental restoration securely on your tooth to protect it.
Am I a good candidate for CEREC same-day restorations?
Dr. Coffey will let you know which dental restorative option best matches your needs based on the type and severity of your tooth damage. Unless you have severe tooth decay requiring advanced dental treatments, you may most likely be able to benefit from CEREC same-day restorations.
After receiving a crown or other dental restoration with CEREC technology, be sure to brush your teeth twice daily, floss every day, and avoid chewing on hard objects like popcorn kernels, hard candies, and ice, as you would in taking care of any dental restoration, and see our Madison Dental Studio team regularly for routine cleanings and exams.
