Nitrous oxide.
Also known as “laughing gas”. This can help make you more comfortable of your next cleaning or treatment appointment. If you’re a little nervous a the dental office, it helps to take the edge off. Nitrous doesn’t make you ‘fall asleep’, but will help you relax during your time with us.
Nitrous is available for adults and children alike. Nitrous is readily available in all of our patient care rooms.
And perhaps the most ideal part of using nitrous oxide is that you can drive, return to school or work, and go about your day just like normal after having nitrous administered. There is no residual drowsiness effect after your appointment, as a result of using nitrous oxide.
Sedation appointments.
This is a wonderful option for adult patients at Madison Dental Studio.
Especially if you prefer to experience the most relaxing experience possible. Most of our patients won’t recall much of your time in the dental chair as a result of being sedated for your dental appointment.
Dr. Diana Pappa has extensive hands-on training in sedation, intubation, and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and during her residency program at LSU. She actively maintains these certifications and qualifications, which make her one of the only general dentists in our area offering sedation.
There are a few things for our team to discuss with you beforehand, to ensure before sedation is right for you. As a result, we require a complementary sedation consultation appointment prior to scheduling for a sedation spot.

Reversal Treatment for Local Anesthesia.
We know it’s no fun to stay numb after a filling or crown. We are happy to offer Oraverse.
This is a product that we can reverse the numbing sensation, before you leave your appointment.
You’ll need local anesthetic to keep you comfortably numb during most dental treatments.
But after you’ve been given local anesthetic, Oraverse can undo the “puffy face, fat-lip” feeling that results from local anesthetics. Please ask us about it next time you’re here! It’s a quick and affordable way to have you feeling like you again.
