What is nitrous oxide?
Nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, accommodates for a more pleasant experience at the dental office. It relaxes you throughout the appointment, while allowing you to be being awake and alert. Most patients describe nitrous as allowing for a calm and relaxing effect, as a result of breathing nitrogen and oxygen through a nosepiece during your appointment. You will be awake and able to speak normally, but will remain relaxed and less anxious during the treatment.
You are able to drive or go about your day as usual immediately after your appointment. Madison Dental Studio offer nitrous for both cleaning appointments, and for your restorative appointments with Dr. Pappa
